Welcome to Hinesburg Planning and Zoning. The Hinesburg Planning staff is here to help you, and answer your questions about planning, building, and zoning here in Hinesburg.

Planning helps guide how a community grows and develops, and Hinesburg's planning staff, volunteer boards, and commissions are engaged in the community as they consider the needs of all of our residents in the planning process.

Bissonette Recreational Facility
The Town of Hinesburg has been offered a parcel of land near the southwest corner of the intersection of Shelburne Falls Road and VT Route 116 for use as new recreational fields. Go »

Richmond Road Sidewalk Study
A safe route for pedestrians and cyclists along Richmond Road between CVU Road and North Road is a priority in the Town Plan. This Feasibility Study looks at that section of the Richmond Road. Go »

Village South Sidewalk Project
This project will add approximately 1,040 feet of sidewalk on Route 116 from the Hinesburg Community School south to the Norris property beyond Friendship Lane. Go »

Zoning Compliance Statement Application
Submit if you would like the Zoning Administrator to research whether a property has all its required permits (building permits, certificates of occupancy, etc.). This search is frequently required by mortgage lenders when a property is sold.
