Hannaford submitted two applications on January 29, 2018 for Development Review Board (DRB) consideration - 1) site
plan, 2) subdivision revision.
The site plan application is for the proposed supermarket use. The subdivision revision application seeks to revise
building setback limits indicated on the approved survey for the 1987 Commerce Park subdivision - specifically for
lot 15 where the supermarket is proposed.
Review of the Hannaford supermarket application began at the Development Review Board's April 17 meeting. For clarity
on which version of the regulations and which standards will be used to review the applications, please refer to a
legal opinion from the Towns counsel (David Rugh of Stitzel, Page & Fletcher) dated April 10, 2018. Quick
summary: current Zoning Regulations (last updated 10/3/2016) will be utilized; 2) the site plan review will include
all of the applicable review standards i.e., it will not be limited to just stormwater and traffic.
DRB public hearings were held on April 17, May 15, June 5, August 7, and September 4. The Board rendered two
decisions on October 17, 2018. The Board denied the site plan application on a vote of 4-3, and approved the
subdivision revision application on a vote of 7-0. See below for links to the decision language.

Since new regulations have been passed by the Select Board (effective July 12, 2018) the current regulations
